Interactive Screens of the Latest Generation
The member schools of the SEK International Institution are always at the forefront of new technologies. For this reason, at SEK Los Valles, we have incorporated state-of-the-art interactive digital screens in classrooms from Preschool to the Third Year of Basic Education. This represents an unprecedented change in how teachers present information to students, making didactic content more dynamic and up-to-date.
Active learning is crucial in the transdisciplinary research-based methodology in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), in which students are part of a comprehensive international education. These interactive whiteboards promote problem-solving and critical thinking activities, where students actively seek information and design how to share it with their classmates.
This significant tool prevents activities from becoming repetitive, as teachers can use various approaches to address the learning objectives, enhancing student leadership. Furthermore, the motivation and enthusiasm of our students have increased following the incorporation of these new boards in the classrooms.
Compared to traditional methods, teachers are using interactive screens by integrating various multimedia resources to help students better understand concepts, their real-world applications, and their connections to the past.
