SEK ADDS FOUR SCHOOLS TO THE APPLE DISTINGUISHED SCHOOLS COMMUNITY
Educational innovation continues to grow across SEK. Our schools in Ecuador, SEK Los Valles and SEK Ecuador, are joining the Apple Distinguished Schools program for the 2026–2029 period. With these new additions, four SEK schools are now part of this international community, alongside Colegio Internacional Levante and Colegio Internacional Eirís, recognized for their innovation, leadership, and educational excellence.
For the two schools in Ecuador, this recognition represents a particularly significant milestone, as they are among the first schools in the country to receive the Apple Distinguished School designation, in a context where no other schools in the country had previously held this recognition.
In Spain, Colegio Internacional Levante has held this distinction since 2023 and has now renewed its recognition for a further three years, consolidating its track record of innovation and the integration of technology into its educational project. Colegio Internacional Eirís has been part of this community since 2024, joining the international network of schools recognized by Apple.
Apple Distinguished Schools are recognized for using technology innovatively to inspire, imagine, and impact teaching and learning. At SEK schools, this vision is integrated into an educational approach that places students at the center of their learning, fostering critical thinking, creativity, autonomy, and the ability to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
Technology is incorporated as another learning tool, facilitating more active and collaborative learning experiences and offering students new opportunities to research, create, communicate, and develop their own ideas.
The addition of the Ecuadorian schools and the renewal of Colegio Internacional Levante further strengthen a commitment that SEK has been developing for years: integrating innovation and technology with a clear pedagogical purpose to enrich learning and prepare students to confidently face the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Congratulations to the entire SEK educational community on this recognition, and especially to the teams who make it possible for innovation to continue growing across our schools.
