XXXIII SEK-IES HEADS CONFERENCE – BOCA RATON, FLORIDA

SEK and IES leaders share ideas and projects, plan future initiatives, and visit Boca Prep International School.

Leaders from across the SEK and IES network gathered in Boca Raton, Florida, from October 1st to 5, 2026, for the 33rd edition of the Heads’ Conference. The event brought together more than 50 institutional leaders from around the world to exchange ideas and projects, strengthen collaboration, and plan the next stage of excellence and growth across the network.

The program featured sessions led by a range of speakers who addressed key topics in educational leadership today. Participants also took part in roundtable discussions to explore and launch new initiatives. These conversations gave leaders the opportunity to share successful practices from their respective schools, address common challenges together, and discover new opportunities for international collaboration.

One of the highlights of the conference was DISNEY’S APPROACH TO EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT, a workshop delivered by the Disney Institute. The session explored the principles behind Disney’s renowned approach to service and how they can be applied within a school environment.

Leaders reflected on how every interaction with students, families, and colleagues shapes the overall experience, and how a shared commitment to service helps build a strong culture and lasting, lifelong relationships.

Participants also visited Boca Prep International School in Boca Raton, where they toured the school’s facilities. During the visit, Boca Prep students delivered an outstanding performance entitled “The American Soundtrack: A Musical Journey through Culture, Voice, and Identity.” Through music, the students explored how culture, personal voice, and identity intertwine throughout the history of the United States. The performance showcased the creativity and international spirit that unite SEK and IES schools around the world.

The Heads’ Conference continues to be a key meeting point for leaders across our network. Participants returned to their schools with new ideas, stronger connections, and a shared commitment to delivering excellence for our students and families. We extend our sincere thanks to the entire Boca Prep International School community for hosting us, and to all the leaders who took part in this remarkable event.
